About Fabiola
“I have been in love with photography from a young age. […] Discovering Asia has been a real shock, both cultural and emotional. It opened many new artistic angles for me”.
Attracted by the beauty of minds, Fabiola has travelled a lot in Asia, capturing the essence of human beings in faces, hands, as well as landscapes, and cities. She loves to be a photographer of souls. Wherever she settles, the street is her favourite playground and open-air studio. Fabiola’s sharp eyes seize, between light and shadows, the colour, the movement, the moment, the gaze, and the emotion.
“Capturing the right moment is my photographic mission. My eyes, heart, and emotions are my best features!”

I have always been fascinated with hands. I have been photographing them for a long time […]
Hands photography can arouse a wide scope of emotions […]
Hands know better than anyone how to embark us into the heart of the secrets of our lives […]
Without any control, hands unveil the struggles we have been through, the paths we have crossed, and our life choices […]
Take a child by the hand, get out of a hand, give a hand, in safe hands. Read the palm lines. The Hand of God. With the hands, the divine is never far away from the human.

From Reflections to Tai Chi
Remember, it all began in February 2022, and then, fate took its course […]
“ Reflections“ is an invitation to consider the world from a different perspective. It is all about the difference, and the connection, between what we see and what we feel, between reality and emotions. […]
You have been charmed by the mirror or the splashing effect of the reflections in the water and in your heart. […]
You have been hypnotised by the vivid emotion of the two portraits smiling at you. […]
And then, you have discovered several photos of Tai Chi (Taiji), like the Red Fan, the bouncing Jedi, or Cloudy Hands. […]
Because this Chinese martial art is about defence, health, and meditation, I progressively felt a strong link between my Reflections and their philosophy. […]
From Reflections to Tai Chi, I didn’t plan that journey, but it appeared as evidence. Thank you, Shanghai! I love you!

The Normandy
After three weeks of total lockdown, I go out, walking in this ghost town. The show is so sad: empty streets, sealed lanes, locked gates, and very little human presence with delivery men and volunteers in their white hazmat suits […] The Normandy. I have so many memories here, […] But now, it’s full of emptiness […] Suddenly, I see a man in white walking toward the building. I decided to capture this decisive moment in the blink of an eye. Then I realised he was a policeman.

Colours of China
Shanghai, October 2020. This month was hectic and essential to me since I participated in organising a fantastic exhibition. Hosted by ArtCN gallery, we have showcased the talented photographer Fabiola Liacy De Felip, aka ByFab, in aid of my dearest French NGO “Couleurs de Chine”. This solo show called “Moments in life with the Miao people” was a vibrant witness of Fabiola's many trips to this Guangxi province, where she has created strong and authentic bonds with inhabitants. Human and aesthetic emotion, generosity, and beauty were some of the most substantial feelings of this photographic moment…
